G. Edward Griffin, author of “The Creature From Jekyll Island,” discusses the Federal Reserve, the one-party political system, and how the Fed is used to skim wealth from the producers.
Richmond Tea Party, Inc. is a non-partisan, grassroots community established to advance and strengthen the Founding principle that life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are God-given rights guaranteed to every individual by the Constitutions of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia. We believe that government derives its power from the people and is established solely to protect these rights. The core principles of limited government, fiscal restraint, personal responsibility, and governing with virtue and accountability are all necessary to ensure the preservation of our freedom. We believe that local governments, communities, and individuals are best suited to serve and represent the needs of the people. Most importantly, we believe that citizen participation in the political process is a fundamental necessity for good government.
… a fundamental problem with this analysis is that it makes no account of how the elites that he likes – a so-called ‘freedom force’ – may or may not overcome racism, homophobia, religious bigotry, oppression of women’s health, etc. If a so-called ‘freedom force’ does not care about the freedom of ALL Americans, or all people, why should we call that ‘freedom’? why not call that another form of tyranny?
Oh my goodness. It would be difficult to explain economic liberty in just a few words. I am sorry that the public education system has failed you so totally.
All of the things you mention mean nothing if we are not free. Why? Because, if we are not free, all of those things will be decided for us. If we are in the thrall of a cartel as Mr. Griffin describes, then we are treated to the pretense of hope and change, the pretense of political choice (democrats versus republicans), but we are be economically subservient. Our futures are not our own.
This is completely contrary to the spirit that once was America, and it is completely contrary to American greatness. America became great because humans were freed for once from the chains of feudalism. America burst upon the global scene; our past may be sullied by imperialism, but we created and built. This is basic human motivation: I will work very hard for my own and my family’s and community’s benefit, but not for the benefit of unknown and unseen others who merely vote themselves a share of my hard work.
I am also sorry that you find the world to be a scary place and thus find your identity in groups. Groupthink is a tool of the establishment, pitting “us” versus “them” all while ignoring the real problem-makers: the establishment itself.
This makes you a tool of the establishment. Congrats.
