Farmer Burned by Fauquier County
Statement of Fauquier County Citizens for Family Farms:
Fauquier County Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) ruled against Paris farmer Martha Boneta in a matter that was at the center of today’s “pitchfork protest” that has been the focus of national attention.
An overflow crowd sat and stood stunned as the BZA ruled in favor of zoning administrator Kim Johnson’s Orwellian Citation that includes a pumpkin carving and a birthday party for little girls at the farm.
Fauquier County is the lawbreaker in this matter and has opened the door to massive exposure of its lawbreaking ways beyond just this one zoning matter.
This will galvanize support for the dismissal of Kim Johnson, and will draw microscopic attention on a national basis to the operations of Fauquier County.
FCCFF is already receiving many e-mails about lawbreaking by Fauquier County, and we will ensure that such lawbreaking by Fauquier County will be dealt with and so that citizens may be protected from this trespassing government.
The zoning administrator needs to go jump in the lake of the land developer that chopped up the property, creating the now Boneta farm, while stuffing tax credits ($) into his pocket. (And he is the one that purports to be a preservationists and is really jealous of this great farm?) These groups are hardly real preservationists but enjoy a scheme for the rich to get richer while pointing fingers and harming farmers. They use county officials to strangle people, through administrative abuse and fines, so they will sell their farms to them on the cheap. Go Martha. Thank you for standing up to them.
