“The “tea party” movement that gained steam shortly after President Obama took office is seeing a surge in popularity, with a string of candidates and officials willing to take up its cause and a political infrastructure that’s starting to mirror that of an actual political party. What started as a conservative protest klatch has evolved into a political force with enough muscle to potentially alter the course of the 2010 mid-term elections.” Read More…
I am a conservative man who has had enough of sitting on the sidelines and hoping that our government changes its destructive ways! I have decided to run for a seat in the U.S. Congress, Virginia 3rd district, a seat that is currently occupied by Rep. Bobby Scott (D).
Which he has held for sixteen years. No serious challenge has been mounted against him, in fact, he has ran un-opposed for a majority of this time, except in 2004, where his opponent barely showed up in the polls! Although I reside in the Tidewater area, a significant portion of Richmond creates the northern extent of the 3rd district. I intend to run on the Republican ticket, which if the history of this district continues, will not even require a primary, but I am a conservative first and would appreciate your support in any form you can give. I can be contacted at tignorheatcool@cox.net, or 757-463-6699 (cell).
The surrounding districts(1st,2nd,4th,and 7th) all appear well covered and hopefully in hand for conservatives, but the 3rd would be a major coup for conservatives to take over and will require major support. By the way, it should be expected of Warner and Webb to ignore you, but why Rep. Cantor? I can guarantee, not only listening to your concerns and ideas, but pushing them forward, as I agree with them anyway! Happy new year and thank you for your time.
